Terms of Service

These terms cover browsing this site, placing an order and what happens if something goes wrong. By ordering you accept them.

Using this site

This site is for personal shopping and review. Automated copying of listings, images or text is not permitted, and we reserve the right to limit access where traffic is disruptive. We may update pages, prices and availability at any time.

Orders and acceptance

An order is an offer to buy. It is accepted when we confirm dispatch, not when the confirmation page appears.

Prices and payment

All prices are in US dollars and include no hidden handling fee. Payment is taken through our payment provider; authorisation happens at checkout and the charge is completed when the parcel leaves. If a price was displayed in error we will contact you before charging anything.

Product descriptions and availability

Materials and contents are listed on every product page and checked against the stock we hold. Small variation in finish and dye lot is normal in small-batch production. Where an item differs from its description, we treat it as our error and cover the return.

Limits of our responsibility

We are responsible for delivering what you ordered and for replacing or refunding it if we do not. We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers, customs or events outside our control, though we will chase them on your behalf.

Changes to these terms

We revise these terms from time to time, and the revision in force at the moment of your order is the one that governs it. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it. Material changes will be noted at the top of this page rather than applied silently.

Delivery, risk and ownership

When risk passes to you

Responsibility for the parcel passes to you when it is delivered to the address you gave us, or when the carrier records a delivery such as a signed handover or a safe-place drop you asked for. Once the carrier has recorded delivery — to you, to a neighbour you nominated, or to the safe place you specified — the risk moves to you, which is why we ask for an address where someone can receive it.

Ownership of the goods

Ownership of the items transfers when we have received payment in full, including any delivery charge. Where a payment is reversed after dispatch we are entitled to ask for the items to be returned or the value repaid.

Accounts, access and acceptable use

Accounts

You do not need an account to buy anything here; the checkout works as a guest. If you create one, keep the password to yourself, because activity under your credentials is treated as yours until you tell us they have been compromised.

What is not permitted

Please do not copy the catalogue in bulk, resell our photographs, probe the checkout for weaknesses, or place orders you have no intention of paying for. Where we see it, we stop it.

Linking and quoting

Linking to any page here is welcome, and you may quote a sentence or two with a credit and a link back. Anything larger — a whole description, a set of photographs, a copied page — requires our agreement in writing first.

If something goes wrong

Returns and cancellations

You may cancel an order before it is dispatched by writing to us; after dispatch the returns policy applies, which gives you thirty days from delivery. Once a parcel is on its way, the thirty-day return window takes over.

Complaints

Complaints are answered by the person who can actually fix them. Most issues are settled with one reply; where they are not, the same thread is escalated to a supervisor rather than starting again from the beginning.

Notices and contact

Everything we send goes to the email you used at checkout, so please keep it up to date. For anything you need in writing, use the contact address in the footer and allow a business day for our answer.
